Co-invented by another american icon, John Rockefeller, who named the new cocktail after the bar tenders name, Martini di Arma di Taggia.
Many other followed: Gin Fizz, Bloodhound, Alabama Slammer, Negroni – gin is nowadays the numer one spirit for cocktails.
And who know? If Hendrick's hadn't launched the first premium New Western gin in the US, the gin boom would have gone differently;
and Snoop Dog might never have rapped "Now I got me some Seagram's Gin"
